Gayle Christensen
Gayle Christensen is the Executive Director for Global Initiatives in the Office of the Vice Provost for Global Initiatives at The University of Pennsylvania. She manages global initiatives and directs strategic international priorities for the Vice Provost. She came to Penn from the Urban Institute where she served as a researcher and principal investigator in the Education Policy Center. Her primary research area is international migration and educational equity issues.

It examines various methods countries have adopted to help immigrant students gain proficiency in the language of instruction, identifies contexts that seem to elicit positive outcomes, and provides recommendations.
